Harvard
Style
Guidelines
from the Curtin University Library
What's
the purpose of Harvard Style?
|
 |
- Documentation
of sources is necessary not just in research papers but in
any written work that contains information from or references
to texts outside itself.
-
The
Harvard Style functions to:
- lead your reader to the part of a text you focus on,
- and help your reader to distinguish between your ideas
and reasoning and those you derive from other sources.
How
do I use Harvard Style?
-
Harvard
Style consists of two main elements:
- in-text citations in the body,
- and a reference list at the end of the paper.
